4/7/2023 0 Comments Xel ha tulum![]() ![]() You will discover more about the Maya and the importance of coastal settlements. Take a moment to stop into the Xel-Ha Ruins in the Riviera Maya. The cenote located on the west end is a nice surprise and historical asset. The Xel-Ha settlement has an important trade history and houses some great murals not found in Tulum or Muyil. Xel-Ha Ruins seems to be missed as people head to the Tulum Ruins overlooking the coast or venture into the Xel-Ha Eco-park. ![]() You will not regret the fun and food that you will have while there.VACATION VILLAS, TULUM BEACH HOUSES, AKUMAL RENTALS & CONDOS If you just want the fun and adventure, then just book the all inclusive Xel-Ha trip. If this is your first time visiting I do recommend both trips to get the experience and history of the Mayans. The tour through the cenote was adventurous. It was really breathtaking to see some people swim with the dolphins and with the stingrays. We hopped on the bikes feeling like a kid again and met Deer on the trail. Snorkeling was so much fun and just floating in the river was really relaxing. Lockers, towels and snorkel gear was all included. After Tulum, our next stop was to Xel- Ha. Of course people are selling all of these items once you get there for a nice price but you will need the bug spray. ![]() David did provide us with water at the beginning of our tour. I do recommend taking bug spray, sunsceen and an umbrella because there is very little shade and a lot of walking. He even quizzed out group on certain aspects of history. Our tour guide David was very knowledgeable on the Mayan People and how they lived. Tulum was our first stop and it was impressive to see how well preserved the Mayan ruins have been kept. You cant beat that it all inclusive and round trip transportation from your hotel is included. The Tulum and Xel -Ha all inclusive trip was one of the best excursions if you are staying in Cancun, Riviera Maya or Playa Del Carmen. Go to both these attractions but if you're going to do them in the same day then find a better tour than this one. Overall I would say we wasted 1.5-2 hours with all of this.īy the time we had done Tulum and then got to Xel-Ha, we only had about 4.5 hours to enjoy the park which wasn't nearly enough to see all the attractions and make use of all the included food and drink options. Sadly not - first it dropped some people off at Xcaret Park, then it went to Xel-Ha to drop others, hung around there for a while, and finally went on to Tulum. We were then allocated out to another bus, which we assumed would take us to Tulum and then Xel-Ha. They took us to a nearby processing centre where all the different tours were being assembled. We were picked up from our hotel in a small van and two of us were crammed into the front seat along with the driver with no explanation of where we were going. The transportation was a complete shambles. Tulum and Xel-Ha are both excellent sights that are well worth seeing, however I wouldn't recommend doing them in this tour. Return to your coach at a time pre-arranged with your guide and travel back to your hotel in comfort. Satisfy an appetite for adventure by trying exhilarating activities like cliff diving, rope bridge walking and kayaking. Recline in a luxurious beach chair and soak up the sunshine or flounder in a shimmering lagoon. Immerse yourself in the marine magnificence of the park by snorkeling in crystal clear Caribbean waters and exploring subterranean cenotes. After thorough exploration, return to your comfortable coach and travel to the natural aquatic theme park of Xel-Ha. Gain insight into the historical significance of god Chaac and gaze at awe-inspiring temples and castles testament to the power and prosperity of the Mayan empire. Due to its its prominent position on the Caribbean coast, the city of Tulum played a prosperous and pivotal role in Mayan civilization hear about the archeological site’s rich history as you enjoy a tour of the city with an expert archeological guide. Depart from your Cancun or Playa del Carmen hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan and admire the Yucatan scenery as you travel towards the ancient ruins of Tulum. ![]()
